About the project
One Map
For a temporary exhibition, Crystal Bridges wanted visitors to understand where each artwork came from and to go deeper into its story, all from one place. They wanted a single point to explore the whole show.
A Touchscreen Atlas
Working with the museum to draw the right material from the artist interviews, Broken Egg built a single touchscreen laid out flat like a map. From it, visitors select any artwork to open interviews, biographies, 3D models of the sculptures, and the real location in America where each piece was made.
Mapping Indigenous Artists
The result is a single tool that opens up the entire exhibition, deepening understanding of every work throughout its run. It lives on the museum's site as the Indigenous Story Map.
